Rather than using composer, I have been exporting my solidworks to blender and doing my animation there. The benefit is the raytracing for realistic lighting and materials. Composer seems nice because of all of the premade animations, so I don't have to make them from scratch. Thanks for the video!

For me it DID NOT WORK WITH DWG format, however when I saved my illustrator file as DXF format (the similar format) everything worked pervectly. Note that in Solidworks you have to select the plane first, so at first you need to click on a plane in a modeling tree, the plane where you want to insert your DXF file should be active. And only then you use the tool Insert DWG/DXF and it will work.

This is all good. But noone has ever shown how to sketch on a surface that is not an even shape. What if I wanted to sketch on a lofted or boundary face? I know this can be done as ive seen peoples designs with it done.

Problem with these new 3d softwares are that Compony if made this demand as there requirements that the employees must have the ability and experience on exp, solidworks, then what shall the poor designer do who is only knows about the learning on 3dsmax or Maya, that means the opportunity is far away from his hands... That is a bad example of today Componies that it's a pain learn 3d software's on diff categories all the time just then the job we had get.

To really impress me Solidworks needs to add a Contact mate. This will be a lifesaver for assemblies.
